The Central Highlands of Vietnam make up the part of the country between the Cambodian border, descending down to around 40 miles from the coast. This area reaches as far north as Kon Tum, and as far south as Dong Xoai. The area is dominated by green mountains and hills, and enjoys a tropical savanna climate. This area is typically humid and hot all year round, but has two very different seasons in terms of rainfall. The winter months here are slightly cooler, sunny and with little rainfall. Conversely, the late summer and early fall months are characterized by heavy rains and high temperatures.
